FOLIC ACID+LEVOCARNITINE+METHYLCOBALAMIN contains folic acid, levocarnitine, and methylcobalamin belongs to the class of  'nutritional supplements' primarily used to treat nutritional deficiencies due to various complications or long-term disease. Folic acid (vitamin B9) replenishes the deficient folic acid in the body. It helps in the production of healthy red blood cells and DNA. Levocarnitine is a naturally occurring amino acid derivative that helps your body turn fat into energy. It works by improving the low levels of carnitine in the body. Methylcobalamin (vitamin B12) regulates body functions like cell growth, blood formation, and protein synthesis. It also prevents nerve damage by forming a protective layer (myelin) around the nerves.

Directions for Use

Do not use FOLIC ACID+LEVOCARNITINE+METHYLCOBALAMIN if you are allergic to FOLIC ACID+LEVOCARNITINE+METHYLCOBALAMIN or any of its contents. Let your doctor know if you have a history of seizures (fits), liver disease, kidney disease, cancer, obesity, hypokalemia, optic nerve damage, diabetes before using FOLIC ACID+LEVOCARNITINE+METHYLCOBALAMIN. Please inform your doctor if you are using any prescription and non-prescription medications you are taking, including vitamins, herbal supplements. Do not take FOLIC ACID+LEVOCARNITINE+METHYLCOBALAMIN if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed by the doctor. FOLIC ACID+LEVOCARNITINE+METHYLCOBALAMIN safe to be given to children below 12 years of age, infants, and newborns, yet the doctor's consultation is advised. Do not take antacids before or after 2 hours of taking FOLIC ACID+LEVOCARNITINE+METHYLCOBALAMIN as they may interfere with the action of FOLIC ACID+LEVOCARNITINE+METHYLCOBALAMIN. FOLIC ACID+LEVOCARNITINE+METHYLCOBALAMIN may interact with an antibiotic (chloramphenicol), anticancer agent (methotrexate and fluorouracil), blood thinners (warfarin), anti-gout medicine (colchicine), antacids (cimetidine, omeprazole, lansoprazole, and ranitidine), a medicine used to treat diabetes (metformin), a medicine used to treat inflammatory bowel conditions (sulfasalazine), a medicine used to reduce cholesterol (cholestyramine), and antiepileptic drugs (phenytoin and fosphenytoin).

Drug-Disease Interaction:

 FOLIC ACID+LEVOCARNITINE+METHYLCOBALAMIN should be used with caution in patients with malabsorption syndrome (difficulty absorbing nutrition from food), cancer, neural tube defects, kidney dialysis, optic nerve damage, diabetes, obesity, hypokalemia (low potassium levels in the blood), and stent in the heart.
