Directions for Use

• Degarelix helps in the treatment of advanced hormone-dependent prostate cancer.
• It is given by injection under the skin (subcutaneously), usually in the stomach area.
• It may cause dizziness and blurred vision. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how it affects you.
• It may cause hot flashes. Try wearing loose clothing and avoid alcohol, caffeine, and spicy foods.
• Inform your doctor if you are diabetic or have problems with your heart, kidney, or liver.
• Your doctor may check the level of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) in your blood. This is done to monitor how well Degarelix is working for you. A decrease in PSA levels is usually a sign that your treatment is working.
