PRODUCT DETAILS

About Iotim Plus Eye Drop

PILOCARPINE+TIMOLOL is a combination drug containing 'ophthalmic medication' used to treat raised pressure in the eye in conditions such as ocular hypertension and glaucoma. Ocular hypertension is a condition in which the eye's pressure is higher than normal as a result of poor drainage of the aqueous humour (fluid inside the eye). Glaucoma is an eye disease in which the optic nerve is damaged due to abnormally high pressure inside the eye. If this condition is left untreated, it can lead to permanent vision loss.

PILOCARPINE+TIMOLOL contains Pilocarpine and Timolol. Pilocarpine is a cholinergic agonist and works by draining the excess fluid from the eye, thereby reducing pressure. Timolol is a beta-blocker and works by decreasing the fluid production in the eye, thereby lowering the pressure in the eye. PILOCARPINE+TIMOLOL should be used only in the infected eye, and contact with the normal eye should be avoided.

Uses of Iotim Plus Eye Drop

Medicinal Benefits of Iotim Plus Eye Drop

PILOCARPINE+TIMOLOL is used to reduce pressure inside the eye. It works by decreasing the fluid production in the eye and increasing the natural flow of fluid from inside the eye into the bloodstream.  These effects help to decrease the pressure and swelling inside the eye. It helps to improve vision and prevent the complications of ocular hypertension and glaucoma.

Directions for Use

PILOCARPINE+TIMOLOL is available in the form of eye drops. Eye drops: Wash your hands thoroughly with water before and after use. Take the prescribed amount of dose with the dropper and squeeze out a drop without touching the eye. Wipe any excess liquid with a tissue. Do not wipe or rinse the dropper tip after use. Place the dropper back on the bottle and tighten the cap. Note: Do not touch the tip of the dropper as it may contaminate the contents. Do not place the tip directly into the eye while instilling the drop. If the dropper touches the eye, immediately squeeze two to three drops onto the tissue and wipe the dropper’s tip.
