About Kofron Dmr Tablet
Chlorpheniramine Maleate + Bromhexine + Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide + Pseudoephedrine + Guaifenesin is a combination of five medicines: chlorpheniramine, bromhexine, dextromethorphan, pseudoephedrine, and guaifenesin which relieve dry cough. Chlorpheniramine is an antiallergic that relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Bromhexine is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of the cough center in the brain. Pseudoephedrine is a nasal decongestant. It narrows the small blood vessels which provide temporary relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Guaifenesin is an expectorant that decreases the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) and helps in its removal from the airways. Chlorpheniramine Maleate+Bromhexine+Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide+Pseudoephedrine+Guaifenesin is used in the treatment of dry cough.

Safety Advice
ALCOHOL
Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking chlorpheniramine Maleate + Bromhexine + Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide + Pseudoephedrine + Guaifenesin as it may increase dizziness and drowsiness.
PREGNANCY
Avoid taking chlorpheniramine Maleate + Bromhexine + Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide + Pseudoephedrine + Guaifenesin if you are pregnant as chlorpheniramine Maleate + Bromhexine + Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide + Pseudoephedrine + Guaifenesin contains codeine which might make the baby dependent on the drug leading to withdrawal symptoms in the baby after its birth.
BREAST FEEDING
Avoid taking chlorpheniramine Maleate + Bromhexine + Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide + Pseudoephedrine + Guaifenesin if you are breastfeeding as chlorpheniramine Maleate + Bromhexine + Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide + Pseudoephedrine + Guaifenesin contains codeine which might pass into breastmilk leading to life-threatening side effects.
DRIVING
chlorpheniramine Maleate + Bromhexine + Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide + Pseudoephedrine + Guaifenesin may cause dizziness and drowsiness. Do not drive or operate machinery unless you are alert.
LIVER
Dose adjustment may be needed in patients with liver impairment. Please consult your doctor if you have a liver impairment or any concerns regarding this.
KIDNEY
Dose adjustment may be needed in patients with kidney impairment. Please consult your doctor if you have kidney impairment or any concerns regarding this.
