About Lidozone Ear Drop

LIDOCAINE+PHENAZONE belongs to the group of medications called ‘otic agents’ used in the symptomatic treatment of otitis media. Otitis media is the inflammation of the middle ear or middle ear infections. It causes ear pain and fever. It is commonly seen in young children.

LIDOCAINE+PHENAZONE contains Lidocaine and Phenazone. Lidocaine is a local anesthetic that is used to numb pain. It acts by blocking the pain signals from reaching the brain, thereby decreasing pain. Phenazone is an analgesic (pain killer) and anti-inflammatory agent

Medicinal Benefits of Lidozone Ear Drop

LIDOCAINE+PHENAZONE is used to reduce ear pain and inflammation in patients with middle ear infections. This medicine is used to treat acute otitis media (inflammation of the middle ear), middle ear inflammation due to flu and barotraumatic damage of the middle ear (due to rapid changes in pressure in the ear). It contains Lidocaine and Phenazone. Lidocaine reduces pain, whereas Phenazone helps to reduce inflammation and also increases the effectiveness of lidocaine.

Directions for Use

LIDOCAINE+PHENAZONE is available in the form of ear drops. Ear drops: Wash your hands thoroughly with water before and after use. Take the prescribed amount of dose with the dropper and squeeze out a drop without touching the ear. Wipe any excess liquid with a tissue. Do not wipe or rinse the dropper tip after use. Place the dropper back on the bottle and tighten the cap. Note: Do not touch the tip of the dropper as it may contaminate the contents. Do not place the tip directly into the ear while instilling the drop. If the dropper touches the ear, immediately squeeze two to three drops onto the tissue and wipe the dropper’s tip with saltwater. Do not put any cotton into the ear after administration of ear drops. Discard any unused medicine after the completion of the course of therapy.
