PREGABALIN+METHYLCOBALAMIN+ALPHA LIPOIC ACID belongs to a group of medicines called anticonvulsants used to treat neuropathic pain. Neuropathic pain is a chronic progressive nerve disease which causes nerve pain due to nerve damage or malfunctioning of the nervous system.

PREGABALIN+METHYLCOBALAMIN+ALPHA LIPOIC ACID is a combination of three drugs: Pregabalin (Anti-convulsant), methylcobalamin (vitamin) and alpha-lipoic acid (antioxidant). Pregabalin affects the chemicals in the brain that send pain signals across the nervous system. It works by binding to the specific site on voltage-gated calcium channels, this helps in relieving nerve pain and lowers the risk of seizures. Methylcobalamin helps in rejuvenation and protection of damaged nerve cells by producing a substance called myelin. Alpha-lipoic acid helps in providing a protective effect on the nerve tissues and brain. Together, PREGABALIN+METHYLCOBALAMIN+ALPHA LIPOIC ACID helps in providing relief from neuropathic pain.

Directions for Use

 PREGABALIN+METHYLCOBALAMIN+ALPHA LIPOIC ACID may have interaction with antidepressant medications (amitriptyline, duloxetine, mirtazapine, fluoxetine, sertraline), anticonvulsants (gabapentin), anti-anxiety medications (diazepam, alprazolam), anti-diabetic medications (metformin), antibiotic medications (chloramphenicol), and pain killers (codeine, fentanyl, hydrocodone, morphine, oxycodone, tramadol).

Drug-Disease Interaction:

PREGABALIN+METHYLCOBALAMIN+ALPHA LIPOIC ACID may have interactions with disease conditions such as suicidal tendency, angioedema, creatine kinase elevations, peripheral oedema, malabsorption and anaemia.

Safety Advice

ALCOHOL

Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking PREGABALIN+METHYLCOBALAMIN+ALPHA LIPOIC ACID as it may increase dizziness and sleepiness.

PREGNANCY

Avoid taking PREGABALIN+METHYLCOBALAMIN+ALPHA LIPOIC ACID if you are pregnant unless prescribed by a doctor. Please consult your doctor if you have any concerns regarding this, your doctor will prescribe only if the benefits outweigh the risks.

BREAST FEEDING
