About Smoke Free 4 Chewing Gums

NICOTINE belongs to a group of medication called 'nicotine replacement therapy (NRT)' used to reduce the craving for smoking and tobacco use. Nicotine is a chemical present in tobacco that causes addiction. Taking nicotine through smoking or chewing tobacco for a prolonged period causes nicotine addiction that increases the risk of various medical problems like heart disease, lung disease and cancer.

NICOTINE contains Nicotine that acts as a smoking cessation aid. It helps in quitting nicotine (tobacco) use by slowly adjusting the body to have less craving to use nicotine. As a result, over a period of time, a person does not crave nicotine anymore.

Uses of Smoke Free 4 Chewing Gums

Nicotine replacement therapy (NRT)

Medicinal Benefits of Smoke Free 4 Chewing Gums

NICOTINE is a Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) agent used to quit smoking or chewing tobacco habit. Nicotine replacement therapy is a WHO-approved program that helps to quit smoking within just 12 weeks. NRT is a part of a 'total stop-smoking program' that includes counselling, support, and behaviour change. NICOTINE works by adjusting the body to take less nicotine until a person does not crave nicotine. NICOTINE provides a small dose of nicotine without providing harmful elements like tar, carbon mono oxide present in tobacco products.

Directions for Use

Start taking NICOTINE from the same day you quit taking nicotine (chewing or inhaling tobacco in the form of cigarettes). NICOTINE is available in different forms that include gums, inhaler, nasal spray, lozenges, and patches. Gums: These gums should be chewed slowly, unlike regular gums, to get the most nicotine out of them. Chew at least after 15 minutes of eating or drinking. Try to chew until you get the peppery taste of nicotine. Then let the gum rest for some time. When you feel that there is no taste in gum, then chew it again. You need to chew it for half an hour until the taste completely fades. Lozenges: These are candy-like tablets similar to throat lozenges, especially for persons who do not prefer to chew gums. Keep the lozenge in the mouth and let it dissolve for 20-30 minutes. Do not swallow or chew lozenges. In this way, nicotine gets absorbed into the bloodstream and helps to manage "nicotine craving". Transdermal skin patch: It needs to be applied on a clean, dry, non-hairy area of the skin, such as the upper arm. An individual should remove the patch from the package, peel off the protective strip, and should apply it immediately on the skin. Then, gently press for 10 to 20 seconds and check that the skin patch remains in place. Nasal spray: Insert the tip of the bottle into a nostril while closing the other nostril and spray NICOTINE towards the back of your nose. Keep your head straight and breathe gently. Repeat the same process for another nostril. Inhaler: Use NICOTINE inhaler as advised by your doctor.

Please consult your doctor if you are pregnant before using NICOTINE.
