CEFIXIME+CLOXACILLIN+LACTOBACILLUS belongs to a group of drugs known as 'antibiotics' that is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. It effectively treats infections of the respiratory tract (pneumonia), urinary tract, ear, nose, and throat. Additionally, it is also prescribed to treat STDs (Sexually Transmitted Diseases). Infectious or harmful bacteria can make you sick and reproduce quickly in your body. These harmful bacteria produce chemicals known as toxins, which can damage tissue and make you sick.

CEFIXIME+CLOXACILLIN+LACTOBACILLUS  is a combination medicine containing: Cefixime, Cloxacillin and Lactobacillus Sporogenes used to treat bacterial infections. Cefixime works by blocking the chemical (mucopeptides) released by the outer layer (cell wall) of the bacteria and destroying the bacterial cell wall. Cloxacillin blocks the third and last stage of synthesis of bacteria's outer layer (cell wall). Lactobacillus is used as a probiotic. It helps balance the number of beneficial bacteria in the digestive tract (gut) to manage water loss (diarrhoea) due to antibiotics or infections.

Directions for Use

Take a CEFIXIME+CLOXACILLIN+LACTOBACILLUS tablet with a meal to avoid an upset stomach. You are advised to take CEFIXIME+CLOXACILLIN+LACTOBACILLUS for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition.

Drug Warnings

Before starting CEFIXIME+CLOXACILLIN+LACTOBACILLUS , please inform your doctor if you have any allergy (against any antibiotic), or have kidney or liver problems. CEFIXIME+CLOXACILLIN+LACTOBACILLUS  should not be given to the patients who are allergic to cephalosporin or penicillin antibiotics, a newborn baby with jaundice. It will not work for viral infections such as flu or the common cold. Using any antibiotic when you do not need it can make it less effective for future infections.  If prescribed by your doctor, CEFIXIME+CLOXACILLIN+LACTOBACILLUS  is safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding but use with caution. If you are using CEFIXIME+CLOXACILLIN+LACTOBACILLUS , please do not get a live vaccination (cholera vaccine, typhoid vaccine, Bacillus Calmette-Guérin). It is known to interact with CEFIXIME+CLOXACILLIN+LACTOBACILLUS and affects its efficacy.
